Groin Guard

In addition to the mouthguard and boxing bandages, the groin guard is an indispensable part of the basic equipment of every martial artist to enable injury-free training. As a rule, the groin guard consists of an impact and pressure-resistant shell and the corresponding supporter. The protective groin shell can be made from plastic, carbon and titanium from a wide variety of materials and is specially selected by the athlete for every type of requirement. The simple abdominal protection with pantal cup is suitable for normal sparring in boxing and kickboxing. If ground fighting is added, as in MMA, compression shorts are recommended to ensure the groin guard fits, but these must not slip or get in the way of foot kicks on the ground. In professional boxing, stable leather groin guards are used, which also cover the side area and the kidneys to guarantee the greatest possible safety. The principle always applies: no sparring without groin protection!
